First time Kindle owner, got it last night and couldn't put it down. I can see the points of the other reviews that say how the Kindle has changed the way they read in that they read more, more often and different genres than they would have with real books.

The ability to download samples of books and essentially browse through a bookstore from your sofa is pretty damn cool. It's slightly weird to hold on to at first but within an hour it's incredibly comfortable and natural.

This was a Christmas gift (Christmas in February wahoo!!) and now ranks as one of the most perfect and appropriate gifts I've ever received. It is a must for any avid reader.
